Question about organ donations and eyes?

It's a known fact organs can be transported form one person to another, but, would the eyeballs be considered an organ, or transferrable? Let's say someone has bad eyesight and can't get laser-eye (not actually me, but in a a what if situation), is it possible for one to have the eyes taken from another put into one's head? If so, what is that called, and how much does it cost apporximately in Canada? Can eyes be transferred from one person to another? What is this procedure called if it is possible? Please tell me what i need to know please :) Can a person surgically get new eyes???

PS, Do not suggest glass eyes, laser eye, or anything else, i was hoping to see if eyes could be transferred from one person to another.

Anyone know anything about this procedure?

  1. No, complete eye transplants aren't medically possible to do.

A few million microscopic connections needed,  that go to the brain make it impossible .

The only part of the eye that is used in transplants are the corneas. ( the transparent covering over the front of the eye )
