Question about outlet usage in other countries other than US?

I'm going to Chile this coming summer for 10 weeks and I would REALLY like to be able to charge my iPod and camera for use down there. The only thing is, I don't think they have the same sort of outlets we have here nor the same amount of voltage in an outlet. What are my options? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! :-)

  1. u need a universal travellng charger (iPod or camera)..tht travellng charger has a variable transformer tht can step up or step down depends on the current (or load) is have to supply..in US the voltage is slightly lower due to a low resistance( such as weather)..tht universal travellng charger is easy to find..

  2. You'd have to get a converter (i think that's what they are called) to be able to convert the voltage to a safe amount that will allow you to use your machines. You should be able to by them from electronic stores.
