I had a pap smear the day before I found out I was pregnant from a HPT. Could the pap smear have hurt my pregnancy? Should I be worried?

  1. Pap smears are needed when you first get pregnant. I'm 24- weeks pregnant and had one yesterday since they couldn't find the paperwork.  No need to worry.

  2. No, I've had a pap twice when I was pregnant.  Its pretty routine for the first OB visit to have a pap anyway.

  3. It's okay, it's routine to have a pap during pregnancy anyway, next time it will be done by your ob instead of your gyno....unless there the same person.

  4. Not usually, when you go in for your first prenatal Dr. appointment they usually do a pap smear anyway.

  5. They do pap smears during pregnancy.  It usually happens at the first visit along with a breast exam.

  6. chances are you are just fine.....the PAP takes a small piece of tissue from your cervix...if you have any bleeding contact your OB right away! good luck!

  7. no. the do the paps even during pregnancy. the baby is really super protected in there

  8. No, you should be fine. The first time I went to the doctor for my pregnancy they gave me a pap smear.

  9. I had one done during pregnancy and it was fine

  10. no u shouldn't be worried you will have them during your pregnancy as well...i just had my first one and i was 9 weeks...it wont hurt anything! Congrats!
