my parakeets doesn't want to be seated beside each other.

they are not like that before.. now the male is seated in another perch and so as the female...

they usually are together as always!!!!!

why is this happening????

one more thing...

my cage is a little big for my two birds so that sometimes i can't reach them...what should i do????

one more, in that cage there is a platform just above where the door is... they go there so that i really CAN'T reach them!

and one more, is it okay to use veggies as treats to them??or will it work?? or are they going to be more excited using a fruit or millet???

they are not tamed... what should i do with the cage?? and their relationship???

pls answer asap!!!!

i will mostly appreciate the frst answer!

I think the size of the cage is fine you may have some baby's.

but just let them get comfortable with you and the rest will follow.. keep talking to them and keep a tv on where they can hear different sounds.

  2. first off, try getting a smaller cage if you think it's to big. get at least and 18x18x20 size cage. birds can have veggies but it can take a while for them to get use to it. millet is a good start. i have one parakeet that likes millet and on that doesn't. it's ok if they don't sit on the same perch. that's not a big deal. just make sure they are not fighting and injuring each other. not all birds get along even if they are the same kind.  tamimg parakeets can take a while. it won't happen overnight. sometimes it's better to have them in seperate cages. if you want to keep them together it may take a little longer. spend time with each one individually. and don't rush through it. be patient.

keep the large cage, the bigger the better!

maybe theve just fallen out tofr a while, thats fine they dont have to sit with eachother all the time, they like there own space!!!!

you shouldnt want to 'reach' your budgie, they will come to you and they will need to if you wish to tame them

budgies love millet, you could try millt training

and fruit are veg are needed for good suplements, though there very scared of trying them!
