Question about parantheses?

if im ending a sentence and lets say the last word is anything. not any word in particular,

I want to end the sentence but i dont know if i should put the PERIOD in the parentheses or OUT OF the parenthese

for example

End of sentence ( LOVE. ) or ( LOVE).

Which would be correct, inside or outisde the parenthesis?

  1. outside.  The period ends the sentance.

    The period always gets the final, uh word so to speak.


  2. Good question. I don't think I've ever seen the parentheses put inside the brackets, they go outside.

  3. The correct way would be putting it on the outside of the parentheses

  4. It can be both [Providing, your sentence in Parenthesis is punctuated too.].

    In practice though I suspect most of us only apply the period after the closing bracket.
