In Feb'07 my gyn put me on bc pills to regulate my periods. Jan'08 I stopped the pills and my period started Feb'08 my follicular phase was 14 days and my luteal phase was 18, so I had a 32 day cycle and continued to. Then my April cycle I got pregnant I had a miscarriage in June. My next cycle returned as scheduled on July 13(I'm still in this cycle) My follicular phase was around 17 days and I now am in luteal phase day 14 so tomorrow would be cycle day 32 like it always was but I have read that your luteal phase does not change, does this apply even after miscarriages and child birth since they also say these 2 things can change your cycle? A 14 day luteal phase is what they consider normal but I had always had around a 20 day.

So my question is can I still expect my period in the next few days since it would be in the time frame of 32 day cycle even though it wouldn't not be a 20 day luteal phase? I am TTC and I am hoping this month we have gotten pregnant.

I am not feeling any signs of my period coming! lately I have been feeling:

-exhausted-more hungry-headaches-irritable-achy.

I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago 12 DPO which was to early? I noticed that I have been having increased CM also.

So, yeah, should I expect my period through my 32 day cycle or throung a 20 day luteal phase?

Please please try to help!!

Thanks.

Becky

Oh and to be sure every one knows what things mean:

Follicular phase-1st day of your period untill when you ovulate.

Luteal phase-time you ovulate till your next period

DPO- days past ovulation kinda the same thing as luteal phase

  1. that ? can go both ways, you should definitely expect a period but at the same time if you were sexing it up on the few days b4 and after your ovulation time then you could have a definite chance of conception. if you can, try to hang on to see what AF is doing and if she is asleep then test and good luck.

  2. If people don't know what follicular phase, luteal phase, and dpo means, then they are SO not qualified to answer your question!  I would say anything is possible.  I know after having my son my cycles have been radically different!  I never knew about charting before hand, so I have no idea what my luteal phase was like, but before my baby I was having ovulatory bleeding (another thing I didn't know about and that is why it took me eight years to have a baby) and now I don't.  All you can really do is keep testing, charting and act like you are pregnant (as far as no drinking, no tobacco, no caffeine.....).  Good luck and baby dust!
