I'm picking someone up at around 1 am tomorrow(landing from Vegas). Is there a designated spot for people to park that are not staying at the airport long? Where exactly do i park or does it not matter? Do i have to pay for parking even though im not staying long? Its my first time driving to midway alone and don't exactly know where to go.

  1. Use the cellphone lot.  It's the easiest.  It's about 5 minutes from arrivals and you can park and take a call or whatever it might entail, maybe some smoke signals!  But the point is that it is the easiest way unless you want to pay for parking.  Parking will cos you a few dollars but will not break the bank.

  2. I'm not sure about nearby parking or the rates.

However, if you know what airline the person is coming in on, you  can follow the signs that say arrivals and pick them up outside of the terminal.  They usually don't let you park and wait for anyone so it's a good idea to check before hand to make sure that the plane will be arriving on time.

Give the person a few extra minutes to claim baggage and make it outside because security will be on hand to make sure traffic keeps moving.  However, they do allow you to stop long enough to pick up passengers and luggage once you spot your party standing outside.

  3. If your picking someone up you don't have to park, there will be signs that point you to the airlines that the person is departing from. I recommend you don't park so that you or anyone else doesn't  have to carry the luggage very far.

  4. It's terrible. Your not allowed to park and wait for someone so you have to continue circling. It's pretty easy to circle at midway, just keep goign out to cicero and then back through the airport ramps. It's much easier than at ohare. If you wanted tyou could park and wait til they call you and say they are comming out but that can get a little complicated.

  5. Just South of the airport on Central is a designated Cel phone waiting area. Very convenient to the arrivals area. It is free.

  6. There's a free cell phone waiting area that you can park in and wait for your party to call you. It's just outside of the airport. Hopefully the map attached will help you out.
