  1. I think you will find that they are called "Hammer Fixings" or "Frame Fixings" Thy are basically like a long plastic wall plug with a long nail/s***w insert

  2. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/

go to fixings. it's a fantastic company, i would buy from them! there way cheaper then most places!

  3. The plasterboard fixings you are able to hammer in are good but you could try dot and dab fixing. Basically you have a binding agent which is mixed to a thick consistancy like thick porridge. If you need the boards to stand clear of the floor they can be rested oin a piecie of wood. Start in a corner, draw a plumb line on the wall as a guide then using a trowel scoop up your mix and throw blobs onto the wall the amount depends on how out of plumb your wall is the blob would be say three at the top three part way down etc. push the board up to the wall and using a spirit level simply tap the panel into place take care not to over push the board as you wont be able to pull it off again. Once you have mastered the technique it is simple. When the mixture is set it is solid as a rock and better and quicker than plugs PS there are different adhesives for plasterboards with or with out insulation. If your sub walls are pretty plumb then adhesive is a quick and strong method you just need care when aligning the next board.
