is it normal for a pool to remain cloudy 30 minutes after adding pool shock treatment to a 3 1/2 feet high above ground swimming pool?

  1. It is if you used calcium hypochlorite to do the job.   It is 1/2 calcium and causes a spike in Calcium Hardness but will gradually dissipate as it dissolves!
