Question about prayer and sunnah?

The other day I saw some sisters praying, and while in sujood they placed their elbows on the ground. According to the sunnah, we are supposed to pray on 7 points of sujood: face, 2 hands, 2 knees, and 2 feet. Why were these ladies praying this way?

well i have read the hadis .. u should tell them that they are wrong when they put the elbow on the ground ... Prophet Muhammad Saw forbid that act of putting elbow to the ground . Once when i didnot knew that i also placed my elbow but a person told me that i was wrong and later i read and confirmed this when i read the hadis of Holy Prophet pbuh.

I see this a lot as well and it's because they have not been taught otherwise.  And honestly as a revert I find that when I advise sisters (especially those born muslims) it sometimes falls on deaf ears.

Salam for you Yes it is a slight mistake if while in soujood we place our elbows on the ground because it should be only our hand arms on the ground .But i think their prsayers are still valid.They did not know how to make sujood rightly.It is better if you give them the needed explanation. Our forheads and noses should touch the ground too.
