Question about pressure?

when diving what depths can a human reach? Also what happens to the body if it pasts this limit?

  1. Typically divers can go to a couple hundred feet in depth.

    beyond that,special 'breathing mix' is used to counter the effects of

    compressed nitrogen in the blood.

    any assent from these depths would have to be slow to prevent 'bends'


  2. The exact depth is a a toss up... it depends on the person's own ability to withstand a certain amount of pressure... some people have trained to handle this more than others. If they go past this point, then a couple things will happen. You won't be able to retain much of the oxygen because the high pressure is literally going to squeeze the air out of your lungs. Your body is going to be pressed, and your internal organs will be damaged.Get low enough and your bones will start to get hurt. Your eyes could face some serious damage if you get low enough.
