alot of my friends use pro activ.. and i have herd mixed results. some say it works well.. and others say it is a waste of money. i have bad acne and have been seeing a dermotologist sine i was about 12 (im 15) i have been through every pill and every topical perscription possible. right now they have be using a face wash with the active ingredient benzoil peroxide.. which is also the active ingredient in pro activ. that face wash has done absolutely nothing for me. my face is very oily and i have white heads, black heads, and regualr zits.. would pro activ be a good face program for me?

  1. well proactive solution is a great acne product. I use it all the time and it works really well for me. Now I'm not saying that it will cure your acne over night, especially sinse you've had severe acne for a few years now. But it contains benzoil peroxide, which causes the pimples to dry out, making them go away, now be careful not to overuse a product, like the facewash you say you use, becaue overusing an acne product will irriate your skin causing more pimples to form. I would highly recommend proactive to you, but do not expect your pimples to dissapear in a day. Give them some time

  2. yeah it works for some and not for others.

maybe you should try the Neutrogena Complete Acne System.

    I think there's a clean and clear.

If none of those work go to you dermatologist and ask about the Image skin care line. And only use Mineral makeup. There's several different mineral lines.

  3. it works best on mild to some moderate acne.  it didnt work for my sister and she had moderate/severe acne.  it may not work for you.

  4. I have heard pretty much all negative answers. Apparently it works for a month or so and then it stops working. I have also heard that it gives ppl zits when they use it. Try going to different websites online that can give you your own personal consultant, such as Paula's choice. Or you can get a consultant in person from Mary Kay. Both of those companies are animal cruelty free :)

    Hope I helped :)
