at e3 it was announced tat the ps3 80 gig will be released for 400 dollars

but a 360 fanboy told me tat their just gonna add 40 gigs to a 40 gig console and sell an 80 gig console with the features the 40 gig has

so tat means no backwards compatibiltity 4 usb ports ect..

i kinda think hes lying

but i wanna be sure

so is it true?

  1. That's what i heard.

  2. sorry man but that's the truth. i'm disappointed to. its not really a price cut but a new ps3 all together. i would advice picking up the MGS 4 bundle ($500) which has BC and all the other features. its getting hard to come by but its worth it. first of all you get the best ps3 out there plus MGS 4 which is the best game on the system so far. i'm going to do the same thing, that is, if its still available

  3. Its true, the new 80GB is just a 40GB with an 80GB hard drive, No backwards compatibility(ps1 games still work), only 2 usb ports, no Media card readers and no chrome.

Sony has said that they won't be putting Backwards compatibility in to anymore ps3's, so get the Current 80GB while you still can

  4. that fan boy was right unfortanutly

but don't be stupid and but that g*y 80gb thats pretty much a 4ogb but double the memory  for 400 dollars

get a 60gb for 450 and its not ebay
