I have a blanket which was quite expensive. It says "Cashmere washable" on it but nothing about tumble dryer. Even though it says Cashmere, the material doesn't feel too different than other cotton based blankets I have. Can this blanket go in the tumble dryer or rather not?

  1. It is not a good idea to put a blanket no matter what it is made from into a tumble dryer, you are much better off hanging it out over a washing line and letting it blow in the wind if you can.

  2. I have never washed a blanket or dried it, but I have done Cashmerer sweaters in Woolite on the cold, delicate cycle, and dried them on NO HEAT...works fine for the sweaters. I would not use any heat though..

  3. Whatever you do, do not put it in the tumble dryer, if it is cashmere it will ruin it. It might not be cashmere but I would not take the chance as once it is ruined, thats it.
