Why is that when i record something from youtube with camstudio the quality is so much worse then what i recorded?

What is a better screen recording program that is free thats easy like camstudio?

In fact, Camstudio or DemoCreator(http://www.sameshow.com/demo-creator.htm... program like this is not intended for re-recording of other video clips from the screen (e.g. playing in Media Player,Youtube etc.), but rather for creating regular software presentations, tutorial, demos etc. Although it can record the video from Youbube, the quality of the captured video is hard to reach the original one. So consider DeathComesWhileYouAwait's suggestion.

This isn't really an answer to your question but it may help for getting videos off youtube.To download a youtube video just copy the url of the video and go to www.keepvid.com and click download. Then go to youtube and reupload the file you just downloaded.Make sure you put .flv at the end of the file you downloaded too.

Why not Total Screen Recorder??

I am using this program to record my screen while I play games.

Before Total Screen Recorder, I tried like 5 different softwares(including Frag,Camstudio...) but I had many issues such as the game is recorded in the corner of the video with these program, the video is so blurry, and constant skipping on the playback of the video because the software can not record fast enough to keep up with the game.

Total Screen Recorder is a awesome software that I can use to record my game without all those laggy c**p recording problems.Good Luck!
