  1. No i guess not. U should give it a shot thoug, put them all together and see what happens, if she's still aggresive then do them apart.

  2. i would say cause molly will try to hurt them you might want ot wait a few more weeks ok thx good luck

  3. You can take the mother away from the babies when they're 4 and a half weeks old, and put mom back with her sister.

The babies need to be seperated (boys from girls) at 5 weeks. They can breed from this age. If you struggle to s*x them, either take the litter to a breeder or a vet to get them sexed. It's not very difficult though. Females have a smaller ano-genital gap than males and only females have teats.

Your mom rat's milk will dry up once the babies are removed.

  4. i think that you should put molly in a different cage and leave milly with her children.but let milly visit molly when her children are sleeping and other times of the day.that way molly wont be distressed without milly and milly's children wont be distresse without their mother.just dont let molly go near the children.

  5. Personally, I don't have any information.  I know this sounds strange, but if you go to your local zoo, the people that handle that area would be able to give you some advice.

    Good luck.

I also think rats are cute.  We are definitely the minority.

  6. its a bit early yet, especially if she killed her own.and also if milly thought molly was a threat to the babies she may kill them herself.waite a couple more weeks then pop her in but be ready to grab her just in case.

  7. how did the rats get pregnant without a man rat in the same cage????
