i graduated high school last year and got accepted to my university of choice, but did not end up going. i'm planning to reapply this year and i've been taking a few classes at a cc to ensure my readmittance and i was wondering how you get credit for those cc classes on my application. i did well on some courses at cc, did not do well on other courses. i just want to get credit for those some classes i did well on.. how do i do that? would this even heighten my chances of readmittance or not?

also, am i allowed to take the sats over again?

  1. Normally on applications, you are required to disclose all previous colleges or universities you may have attended.  You will also be required to submit official transcripts as well.  Unfortunately you can't pick and choose which credits you transfer.  When you submit your transcripts, your entire transcript is sent.

Keep in mind that your admission will be most likely be based on a transfer student admission requirements.  When you were initially admitted, you were admitted based on your high school information and/or standardized test scores.  Since you have attended a college, your admission may be based also on your college transcripts as well.  You might not be required to submit SAT scores.  Check with the university you are applying to for their admission requirements.  Also, your admission may also be based on the available seats in the degree program you are applying to now versus last year's available seats.

    Best wishes!

  2. You can't just put classes you did well in, the university will not have a place on the app for courses you took, they will ask for your CC official transcript which will have all the classes on them, bad or good, they will assess then and then decide which transfer.

You will not be readmitted the same way that you were the first time around because you are no long a freshman, you're considered a transfter student and they have a completely different criteria for how they accept transfer students.

You can take SAT's over but if you have over 30 credits, they won't even look at your SAT's or High School grades.
