Question:

Question about refurbished iPods?

I was just wondering if it would be better to buy a refurbished iPod or a normal one. I've heard that they work and that they don't. Please give me some advice on what to do.

Thanks!

  1. Well, they're thirty perrcent off MSRP, so I think you should take one over a new unit. Most of them are just things bought direct from Apple and sent back because the person didn't want it or couldn't figure it out. Same with retail returns with torn up boxes and whatnot. Some WERE indeed broken, but they've had new components installed as needed. Basically, for a variety of reasons, these units can't be sold as new, and thus they're binned as refurbs. There's a risk, yes, but it's not a terribly large one.
