  1. No she can't. She has to revel her face to the be identified.

As for getting on the plane. All women, whether in Niqab or not in most Islamic countries are searched by a female security.

As for Airports that do not provide such security, All Muslim men and women should comply with the Airports Law.

    No fuss about it.

  2. no, she cant. in your passport photo, they have to be able to see your whole face. she can dress like that on the plane if she wants but in order to get pass TSA..she has to remove the garments from her face to get on that plane.

  3. No. Nor can she remain veiled (niqab) for her driver's license (in places where she is even allowed to drive).

Authorities found out the hard way, in Iraq and Afghanistan, where MALE suicide bombers were dressing as females, complete with 'hijab' (head covering) and 'niqab' (face covering).

p.s. In Egypt, recently, it was made illegal for nurses to wear the veil (niqab) when treating paitients, but 'hijab' is acceptable.  The notion was that patients WANT to SEE who is treating them, and have no confidence in nurses who cover their faces.

  4. At airports, Muslim women in full covering of jilbaab, hijab , (Muslim women wear) are taken to a separate room or the women's bathroom to verify her identity according to her passport, if necessary.

Once confirmed, the Muslim women is allowed to board the plane, covered up in her Muslim women's wear.

On flight Muslim's are served with halaal foods, and amounts of respect is shown to Muslim women!

  5. No. They must be able to IDENTIFY you on identification cards. That's kind of the point. A Muslim woman who tried to sue for the right to do the very thing you're talking about on a driver's license photo was shot down in court. Rightly so.

I'd imagine that she would have to be taken aside and at least identified and searched by a female TSA employee before they would let her get on the plane. In fact, I can guarantee it.

  6. This was a big debate a while back. Fortunatlly this was one of the times that reason won over religion. You have to show your face.

  7. Passport photos have to show the features.  0nce past passport control is a different issue.

  8. Sadly she can

One of the london bombers made his escape to Italy dressed like that.

  9. Some lawsuits were filed on behalf of Muslim women who applied for driver's licenses and refused to show their faces for the photo.  The licenses were denied, thus the lawsuits.  I don't know the outcome but I can't imagine that they were not dismissed.

  10. God, I hope not.

  11. I think that for the passport, she might have to show her face. I don't think that would stop her from getting on a plane, though.

  12. I would hope not.

It's hard to identify someone just by their eyes. You can bet that every voter registration booth and airport terminal doesn't have a retinal scan.

If women insist on dressing in a way that will make them unidentifiable except as walking tents, then perhaps they should not cry "persecution of religion" each time they utilize a service that requires identification.

I honest think there is something wrong with a person who refuses to show their face. The human brain identifies people by facial symmetry. Those women have been brainwashed to equate modesty with being completely hidden. In reality their clothing just hides them from the world and prevents them from speaking uniquely. They are just "black tarps" from Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan.

  13. Not in the United States. Not even for a drivers license

  14. it's called a burkha and no they can't be worn! on your passport photo your face needs to be shown fully, you can't even wear glasses!

if the person is sensitive about showing her face, i think she can be checked individually and then allowed to wear it after customs

  15. you know i wondered this myself the other day, and thought how can they let anyone through who has their face covered. Its probably they have rooms where they can disrobe in front of a woman officer, at least i assume that is what they do.

if not then what is the whole point of having a passport, if you can walk through covered from head to foot. Just doesn't make sense
