Question:

Question about reporting SAT Subject Test scores?

I registered for a SAT Subject Test through college board and I have been asked which colleges I would like to send the scores to.

I am only a sophomore and not sure of which college I want to go to, plus the test I am taking is irrelevant to what I want to major in. Should I even send the scores to any college at all? What happens if I don't send them in? Do I send my scores in later, or do college automatically see my scores when I apply?

  1. You can opt to have them sent later, but you will have to pay a fee.  It used to be $7-10 dollars per school.

If they are irrelevant, it doesn't really matter.  I did HORRIBLE on my subject tests and it didn't affect my college admissions, so...

I wouldn't really worry, just take it, and if you do excellent, then send them after once you decide.

  2. When you register on college board.com you get the option to send the scores to some colleges, but you dont have to.  The first 4 are free i think, but since you are a sophomore I would wait and research colleges.  You can register for the scores to be sent to your colleges of choice later in your high school career.

  3. You dont have to put a college ... just put the name and code for your high school that way your scores will be on your high school transcript.

    GOOD LUCK ...
