Question:

Question about reporting scores!?

I will be a Junior this coming year and I'd like to take the SAT as much as possible. First off, is that a bad idea? I would love to take the SAT every month that it is offered. This leads me to my next question..if I did take the SAT as much as possible, I don't think that I would submit my scores to my favorite colleges every time because they might improve the next time...

So is it possible to take the SAT multiple times and then when all is said and done, submit my 3-4 best scores to the colleges I like all at once?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

thanks so much.

  1. It doesn't work like that.

You should take the SAT as few times as possible because if you send one test score to a college...they get them all.

If you anticipate improving the more times you take it, why not buy a book with a full-length practice test and have a parent help you simulate testing day conditions (especially the timing!).

  2. well im pretty sure that they average the grades, im sorry if im wrong, and u know the test costs 50 bucks, so how many times were u considering to take it

And scores don't go up by much maybe 50 points, and that depends on the person, id say 2 or 3 times would be enoug hcuz after that ull just be wasting money, if you dont see a change after the 2nd or 3rd score id stop
