Question about reporting your taxes on fafsa?

Ok i jsut started working & i was wondering when i did my renewel for fafsa i didnt report that i was working only my dad since im a dependent i didnt know i had to or do i? is it a MUST?

  1. The information you give on your FAFSA concerns the previous year. For example, if you completed the FAFSA in March of this year, you were giving information about the period of January - December 2007.

    If you just started working, you would report that on next year's filing.


  2. It depends on the amount of money you made.  If you were required to fill out your taxes, then you must include that information on your fafsa.  If you were required, just make a fafsa correction and keep your 1040 form handy, because chances are, you will be selected for the verification process.  Good Luck!
