My grand daughter is pregnent and is 17. My question is what rights will her sixteen year old boyfriend have after the baby is born? The problem is his parents are acting weird already talking about the baby staying at their house for two weeks and then back at our house for two weeks back and forth. They have picked out most all of the babies clothes and just act like they are in control. Later on if this causes a problem what rights would he or his parents have?

  1. His parents have no rights

  2. It will be up to the family court judge to decide that, but quite simply, it's half his baby, so all the rights and responsibilities are half his, too.

If his parents want to raise the baby for half the month, then your granddaughter will have to let him, unless she goes to court and proves why he shouldn't.

  3. welll since theyre not legally married, her boyfriend will have to pay child support every month. even if he ends up dumping her.

  4. His parents have no rights, if the age of majority is 16 in your state, then he has parental rights the same as your grand daughter and he and she will have to work this out themselves.

  5. I don't believe this...You can't even spell the word PREGNANT right.
