  1. Juliet went to Friar Lawerence for help because he was the local priest and she wanted help to get her and Romeo hitched .Friar Laawerence gave her a potion that would make people ( specifically her Parents ) would think she was dead and would upon finding her , put her in the vault as one dead ,, when in actuality this potion was nothing but a sleeping potion. The last question is one I answered at the beginning . The Friar was the one who hatched this plot to get Romeo and Juliet alone to be married,

  2. The potion was supposed to make her appear dead so she didn't have to marry Paris, so she could escape and be with Romeo again.

The Friar was just a friend or R&J, he had married them in secret, he was trying to help.

A message was sent to Romeo, but it got mixed up. The message was supposed to be about the plan that she would look dead, but he got the message that she was dead.

So he bought himself some poison, and went to die with her. She was lying there and she looked dead. He kills himself.... then she wakes up, and she sees he is dead, so she kills herself.

  3. Juliet went to Friar Lawrence for help because she didn't want to marry the Prince Paris ,she wanted to be with Romeo....so the Friar came up with the idea to give her a potion that will make her appear as if she is dead,so as for her not to get married the next day,she would be awoken by time Romeo was to get the message but he didn't get the message as there was a plague in Mantua,so the man who was to deliver it was delayed, and Romeo got the misinterpreted message from his servant,Benvolio i think his name was.Friar Lawrence was this holy priest guy who came up with the idea to marry both Romeo and Juliet so as to "bury away their parents strife".

  4. It was quite common for monks to give counsel and adminster medicines for all occasions from the dark ages onwards.

They also had scholars, scribes, herbalists and physicians amonst their orders.

It would have been perfectly natural for Juliette to take her problem to the Friar.
