Question about saddles.?

Does anyone know where a good place to buy used saddles at a decent price or just a horse store that has tack?? (not ebay!!)

Try Stateline, Dover Saddlery, or Dressage Extensions. You can also check out Miller's in NYC if you want. All of the others have websites and will ship whatever you need to you. Hope that helps.

I would go to http://www.aqha.com and they will give you links to amazing saddlery places in USA. They also have a sheet that shows how to fit your saddle properly.

Yes eBay SUCKS!! They have horrible saddles and I refuse to buy my horse supplies there.

I love Buck's County Saddlery in Pennsylvania. They have a great selection for very low prices.

I know they have a website, but I can't remember them. Try googling them.

im my personal experience, its best to get one used from someone you know, maybe at your barn, thats wat i always do. then you can see if it fits your horse before you buy it maybe!

try Dover Saddlery. i got a new saddle there last year and i love it. they have ppl there that will fit you right for one and the prices are resonable. see if there is a dover near you, or check out their website. hope you find a good saddle!

Depends where you are... In the US, check out local saddle/horse supply shops, in the UK, there are saddlers and Tack shops in practically every town, and most have a good selection of good quality used saddles.

Just be sure that it's in good condition - no broken/cracked tree, etc, and that it fits your horse well.

Try Stateline tack. It has saddles in a decent price. Petsmart has stateline tack in it.

for a used saddle check out the local newspaper, or horse magazines- local or national as sometimes new saddle stores will also sell used. Ask your vet, farrier, trainer, horsie friends to keep their ears peeled and spread the word.

I don't know where you live but Bunkhouse Leather in Bandera, Texas has the best used saddles and the best prices you can find. They also have a lot of new saddles in the store and they also make saddles. You can call them at 830-796-3690. They are great people to deal with.

With gas at 3 something a gallon, your local tack shop starts looking better and better. State line tack sold out from Pet-Smart, there is a 50 to 60% off next month and some decent sales now on limeted stuff. Dover gets my most credit card use: they have a free test ride saddle program. I found a sweet County Warmblood  saddle on ebay,but since you said no to that then the shoppes are your friend.There is also the classified ads, often a good start for saddles. We don't  often get a place in a mall next to Pennys and  a Zales Jewlers!
