Question about scanning and sending via wireless printer?

I installed a wireless printer/scanner to my laptop yesterday. When I try to scan and send an email I keep getting an error report: MSN Server Error:804 - Error Number 0x800CCCFO. Can anyone tell me in idiot proof language what I'm doing wrong please.
