I think you may be referring to Drambuie. Its a honey and herb flavoured golden scotch whisky liqueur made from aged malt whisky, heather honey and a secret blend of herbs and spices

scotch is not sweet.  it tends to be salty since scotch is produced in scotland you get the salts off the sea.
