  1. right what u need to do is go onto ur wireless router you can do this by typing in its ip adress to find this out go like this

    1. start run

    2. cmd

    3. in cmd type in ip config

    4. your ip adress should come up

5.go to your web browser and type in ur ip adress

    6. your router should come up

7.find security on it then there should be a wpa or thing on it you should click enable

  2. As MAC filtering is more secure than WEP or WPA, you can simply continue to use it.  The main "problem" is that it is difficult to add computers to the network, as you have to go to the router and add their MACs.

Usually if the computer is connecting to the network, but not going to the Internet, it is because the computer is not able to find the DNS server.

Control Panel > Network Connections > Find your wireless card > Right click on it and select Properties

In the list of Protocols, you should find TCP/IP. Select it and click the Properties button.

You will see an option near the bottom of the Properties window where you can assign an DNS server.  Put the IP address for your router in there as the DNS server.

"OK" to save the information, exit out of the Network Properties, and reboot the computer

You should have Internet access after that.
