Question about sexual organs "coming out" through vaginal opening?

My mother recently told me that she has been having problems. She said sometimes (please don't think this is gross; she can't help it), some of her..insides (?) are coming out and she has to push them back into her vaginal opening. She says when she urinates, it isn't a steady stream, just a trickle. She is 52 years old. What I'm wondering is: What is the name for this medical problem? What kind of procedures can be done to correct it? What can she do until surgery to help ease the pain and discomfort? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Oh ouch that doesn't sound good. What does she mean by insides? Like what bits are coming out? Has she gone to ask a doctor because that sounds like a serious kind of problem, I'm sure they can rearrange things with surgery though
