I purchased a laptop with Windows Vista and I paid for the Microsoft Office and virus protection software to be installed. We need to get another desktop but don't want to have to purchase the software again. Can we use the same software purchased with the laptop?

i was told that it can be used for up to three computers (is that true) and if it can be used, is it hard to install yourself? any extra info will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

  1. You purchased it, you can use it!  It isn't hard at all to install yourself, just insert the disc, and follow the instructions!  Very Very easy!

  2. Its possible.

  3. This varies from software to software. You definitely can't install a second copy of Windows it is licensed for use on a single computer. Office can legally be installed on a desktop and a laptop as long as both are only used by a single person (for example having it on a computer at work and a laptop for home use). As for the virus scan software you will need to read the license agreement that came with the software to see if it allows multiple installs.

  4. it wouldnt be problem.
