Question about shipping with USPS

so...i ordered something from a store and it is being shipped via USPS. the tracking details say that it should arrive between friday and tuesday. in your experience, does the actual date of arrival usually at the beginnig or the end of the period that they give you. (it is a gift for someone, and i am wondering if it will get here by their birthday (saturday)
