Question about skincare

my dermatologist perscribed this cream (tretinoin) and its not really working, ive been using it for about 3 months.

i havent used any other acne products because im afraid that it might react with the cream. is there a product that i can use to wash my face with and not get a reaction from the cream with it? like just a mild clean and clear?

i think clean as clear is good but it doesn't work that good 4 me

You could go back to the dermatologist and say that its not working.

And get something like Proactiv or Witch Hazel.

maybe try dove. its less likely to irritate your skin.

No! I have very sensitive skin and yours is probably sensitive too from the cream so DO NOT use Clean& Clear.

I used their face cleanser one day after applying spot gel and it literally BURNED my face! I had to go to the dermatologist right away and had to put cool pads on my face for a week. I also missed a week of school!

So please use some cetaphil which is really gentle or Dove which has chemicals but is mostly non irritating.

Just please don't use Clean& Clear it has a bunch of chemicals that might react to your cream you are currently using.

It's great that you went to the Dermatologist.  But remember, the Dr. only started you on something to SEE if it worked.  You need to make a follow up appointment with the Dr. and tell him/her that it isn't working.  They will then prescribe something else.  Maybe something stronger.  They generally like you to try something for at least 6 weeks.  Then if THAT doesn't work, you try it again until you find your solution.  Everyone is different.  It took me a few tries before I found my cure.  I'm so glad that I did though!  this is the same for my friends daughter.  It took at least 3 tries before they figured out what was going to work for her.  Call the DR. tomorrow!!
