Question about sky?

mine hasnt been working for about 4 days now ive done all the usual things like checking connections and turning it on and off etc it just comes up no signal being recieved any1 any ideas ?

Have a look to see if your cable has been cut outside ?

Can you take your set,with your card to a friends house

who has Sky ? to give it a check to see if it works there.

Have you a reset button or up date button on your  set ?

newer ones have.

If nothing works it`s ether down to repairers or purchase new

set from EBay.

the obvious thing i can think of is the wind probably moved the dish if it's off by a tiny bit it wont pick up the signal. what ever you do don't undo the connections and reconnect them while there is power in the sky box as you will definitely blow the LNb (the little box that is on the front of your dish) and you will have to get sky to replace this

mines including two other peoples on my street was not working couple of days ago but know they are just ring up sky for information about your area there might be something going on or a fault with your serivce.

As well as turning it on and off using the standby, have you tried unplugging it at the wall for 60 seconds then plugging it back in?  Sky engineers say that's how to do a proper reboot.

Otherwise maybe your dish has been knocked or the cable from the dish to the box damaged?
