Question about sleeping pills?

I have a horrible time trying to fall asleep, i am a self-admitted worry wart and at night my mind races and i find it impossible to fall asleep. I have tried 3 different sleeping pills and they all work to the extent of falling asleep. But the ambien left me hungover, the lunesta left a gross taste in my mouth and the generic over-the-counter ones have been working very well. No hangovers or gross tastes. The one thing they all had in common.....WEIRD DREAMS. i have had the strangest dreams since taking sleeping pills and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and maybe why this happens? Just as an example my dreams have included...tarantulas, zombie animals, and tornado's in the ocean. yea i know...super weird. Thanks for any help.

  1. weird dreams happen...drugs or not. ( I find mine are weird on drugs too...) all the OTC have in common are

benadryl. (diphenhydramine) same as the allergy stuff (makes some people sleepy...)

  2. get psychiatry help ,

  3. Take the Tylenol PM I have taken those and nothing happens and they do make you fall asleep.

  4. before you go to bed try writing every down that you are worried about....i know it sounds nuts but it will help......it helps you focus on what needs to be done and you know that you won't forget any of it because it has to be written down........i used over the counter stuff for a while during a time in my life that writing things down was not going to help this was pretty recent and I don't remember having any dreams....i hope this helps

  5. I see you have a lot of stress. Maybe it's good to talk to a psychologist? People don't get those dreams for no reason. You must be having trouble or stressed out about something.

  6. I took 2 sleeping pills today and I've been feeling like c**p ever since...I feel so sick that I can't sleep.. and if I happen to fall asleep for a short amount of time I dream about fire breathing lions and past sexual encounters. Just try to fall asleep on your own, pills are bad news!!

  7. "Funny Dreams" are a common unlisted side affect from most [if mot all] sleeping pills. My mom had this problem, but as long as they're not terrifying you out of sleep and keeping you awake, they're not harmful.

Make sure you don't get addicted or dependent with the pills.

  8. ELVIS PRESLEY DIED OF SLEEPING PILL?
