I had school the next day and I wasn't used to sleeping early, so I went to bed at midnight. I just came back from school and I'm SO tired. I want to ZZZ. :[

but I heard that if you sleep now, you won't be able to sleep later.

is that true?

  1. If you sleep for hours you won't, but if you lay down and sleep for 30 or 45 minutes you will feel better and be able to sleep later.

  2. yes because if u sleep after school then u wont be tired at night time. The best way is to wait till night then sleep and try to sleep earlier everyday and keep that routine. Thats wut happened to me i just started school recently but wasnt ready because in the summer i was staying up real late. So as few days of school went by i tried to sleep earlier so i can wake up early and not feel as tired. So just keep a routine for example sleep at 10pm and wake up at 6:30am.

  3. well if you sleep through the night you should be fine.. but if you sleep now and wake up it might be hard to go back to bed

  4. ayee i think it can disrupt your sleeping pattern. Maybe if you just took a short nap instead of a total conk out you would still sleep tonight!!!

  5. For more long term advice, the best thing you can do is have a "sleep routine".  Go to bed at the same time every night.  Have a little ritual.  I brush my hair and teeth.  Wash my face.  Put on some lavender lotion.  Turn on the fan and put a pillow between my knees.  I'm usually asleep within 10 minutes.  Good luck, lack of sleep is no fun.  : (

  6. If I were you, I would just stay up, then go to bed early.  I feel terrible after a nap - so I don't take them!

  7. Try napping for 30 minutes or less. If you sleep for hours, you won't be able to sleep later. Good luck! =)

  8. If you fall asleep for a long time you'll definitely have difficulty sleeping later.  Try taking a speed nap.  Not too long, just long enough to take the edge off.  You'll feel tired when you first wake up but shortly after you'll feel great.  Then go to bed early tonite and you should be on a better schedule.  Sweet dreams! :)
