Question about sod and using miracle grow on it.

can you use miracle grow on new sod. for yellow edges. It is only in one area the other sod looks great. thanks

  1. The yellow edges may mean that your sod is not in contact with the soil that it is sitting on.  To make sure that you have contact means getting down on your knees and checking.  If this is a new installation then the sod may need some more effot to make contact.  If the spot is lifted you must push it down and water it and check it daily until it stays down.  Only fertilize 4 x a year.  many people use holidays to remember.  Call your local University cooperative extension and check with the lawn and garden expert.  They will tell what kind of fertilizer to use and help you set a schedule.

  4. I personally would not use fertilizer on my grass, but there is a Miracle Grow fertilizer that you use in a hose end sprayer that is specific for lawns.

  5. Use epsom salt on it nor miracle grow..It does wonders for a lawn...heres some info on this..
