I just received something for a credit card transfer with my address on it but my ex husbands uncle name. His uncle lives in next town over, never lived here and my ex never lived where his uncle lives. They also don't have the same last names either. I want to know if they are using my address for things?

  1. I would call the credit card company and ask - tell them to make note somewhere that neither of these people live there.

I would then make sure you have a fraud alert set up on each of the credit bureau accounts you have.

    Good luck - be diligent!

  2. I agree with the other answer.  Something is fishy here.  Contact the credit card company and let them know the situation.  You'll be hounded with mail for collecting unpaid bills in the near future would be my guess.  They could also have given your phone number.  Put a credit watch on your accounts to be sure somebody doesn't try to get credit cards on your credit.
