Question:

Question about song selection for Father-Daughter Dance

Do I have to let me dad pick the song or do I pick it? I want to use My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and I'd run it by him to make sure he has nothing against it (how could he really?) lol.

but I don't want him to be picking the song. My dad is the kind of guy who'd think it was funny to pick My Humps or something like that.

Also: does anyone have any suggestions for a father daughter song that not everyone uses? I don't really want something that EVERYONE is using and it seems people are really jumping on the Tim McGraw boat.

  1. I think Tim McGraw is being quite overused in the father/daughter dance area - but if it is something that you love then who cares?

    Some other ideas are:

    "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac

    "Lullaby" by Billy Joel

"The Way You Look Tonight" by Steve Tyrell

  2. "Dance with my father again" By Luther Vandross: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvW6nuQ2B...

  3. You can pick the song for the father-daughter dance. Most brides do.

As for the song - if you truly love the song by Tim Mcgraw then that's what you should use. Don't worry about it being overused - it should just have meaning to you.

But, here are a few other suggestions:

    Father's Eyes - Amy Grant

    Daughters - John Mayer

My Special Angel - Bobby Helms

Oh How The Years Go By - Vanessa Williams

    Father's Love - Bob Carlisle

She's Leaving Home - The Beatles

    Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman

    Tiny Dancer - Elton John

Then They Do - Trace Adkins

    Stealing Cinderella - Chuck Wick

  4. My dad wouldn't even think of me asking him what song he would like!  We danced to Unforgettable by Nat King Cole (the version where they mixed his daughter in is pretty cool).

  5. 1. ''Your a Big Girl Now'' By The Stylistics

2.''Because You Loved Me'' By Celine Dion

    3.''Hero'' By Mariah Carey

    4.''My Girl'' by The Temptations

5.''How Do I Live'' by LeeAnn Rimes

THESE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL SONGS, YOU CAN LISTEN TO THEM FOR FREE AT  FREENAPSTER.COM. I HOPE THIS HEPS GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS ON FINDING THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE!!
