Question about soul calibur 4 for xbox 360?

hey i need some help.. i have rented soul calabour for xbox and im soo confused.. i go into move list and it shows me all these weird things like why cant it jsut say X,X,B or soemthing ... anyone can help me...? also how do u do that final thing ?when its like ... i duno hes jsut about dead and i think u can do some kinda final move.. HELP!

Gaurd (G)= A button

Horizontal Attack with your weapon (A) = X button

Vertical Attack with your weapon (B) = Y button

Kick (K) = B button

I'm pretty sure thats how it is. I can't help you with finishing moves though. I only know the bare basics to the game because my boyfriend taught me a while back.
