1. The first time you put your braces on, chewing food will hurt for about a week. Then, as you start going to tighten the braces regularly, it will hurt for 2-3 days because you will have gotten used to it.

  2. It took me three weeks before I could really eat soft foods well again and a month to the day of getting my braces on before I could eat cereal again. I lost a lot of weight and it was not a good thing. Try drinking slimfast or boost.

  3. first week

    1. dont chew on plastic, like pen lids, sos it breaks the brackets.

    2. broken wires cut into ur mouth, so if u break a wire, juss go straight to the dentist.

    3. make sure u brush each arc a minute every morning and night, or you will get white marks were the brackets used to be, when u get them off.

    4. dont be ashamed of braces, cos they can look really cool in photos, bear those teeth!

    have fun : P

  4. itll hurt chewing food for the first 2 weeks. :O

  5. it will be about 6/7 days

    braces suck

  6. it will hurt for a few days. try eating mashed potatoes, smoothies and pudding. I lived off of those foods for about a week and a half. you will eventually begin to eat normal again in about two weeks. hang in there!

    good luck

  7. I've had braces for 3 weeks & i got them on a thursday. They hurt friday and it hurt while chewing on saturday. On sunday it just felt a bit tender. And on monday there was no pain at all. So about 4-5 days.

Also REMEMBER to brush your teeth when your supposed to, you don't want squares on your teeth! lol
