I recieved my stimulous check in May, I did get the correct amount for my son, but as for the other amount I only recieved 300. I was told by my tax guy I was going to get back $600 + $300 for my son. Any thoughts?

  1. They made mistakes and I read today that they will be sending out another check for those who didn't get the rebate for children. It may take a while but you should get a second check soon. Check out yahoo finances, there is an article about it.

  2. Sounds like your tax guy was wrong, and needs to read the rules.  The payment for an adult is between $300 and $600, depending on your tax amount.  A lot of people just saw UP TO $600 and assumed they'd get the maximum.

  3. If the letter said you got $300 for you and $300 for your son, there isn't a missing second check.  Your tax liability was less than $300, so you only got the minimum.

If the letter had said your son didn't qualify, then there might be more to discuss.
