Question about street fighter?

How, exactly, does one make a "street fighter." Is it as simple as just taking off all of the ferrings, or does this process involve other modification? Also, is this purely a aesthetic decision (i.e. people believe it "looks cool") or are there actual benefits from modifying a bike in this way?

  1. thats a style prevalent in the U.K. you can find stuff on the net if you took the time to look

  2. Most Street fighters began life as a sportbike that got crashed. Instead of buying the tupperware to repair it, the owner decided to strip it. In general "street fighter" refers to a bike which has been stripped of anything not related to safety or Rideability including windshield and fairing.

  3. The simplest way to put it is...you take out the parts you dont like and replace them with better preforming/looking parts to get a better look/performance.
