  1. Hi!

    What a great idea!

If you want to come to school in the U.S., start by looking at the CSIET listing of approved exchange organizations (you'll notice INTRAX isn't there). You can find it at www.csiet.org. That means there is some oversight of the organization. You might also check with your school to see if there are organizations that operate there they could recommend.

Generally, AFS, Aspect, Rotary and YFU are reliable everywhere they operate -- not sure all operate in your country.

One think I'd like to point out however, is that a primary benefit to becoming an exchange student is langauge immersion. You seem to come from an English speaking country. You might wish to consider a country where you would learn (or improve upon) another language instead of coming here where we (or most of us) speak English too!

For general information on being an exchange student, check out http://www.exchangestudentworld.com/ -- an on line community.

Oh yes ... wherever you go, if you want to go NEXT year you must HURRY! Exchange students are already being placed and many programs may not be taking students now!

    Good luck!
