I was looking at this website http://www.worldendeavors.com/Study.html

and they are offering study abroad programs.. but I'm a bit confuse..if we join their program, are they going to be the ones contacting my current university? or how does it work? since my uni. doesn't have the school I want to study abroad in but this website does...so, can I join their program instead the ones at my school? will website offering programs like this help me in making sure my credits are transfer or are they only there to help with housing and arranging things like that? what does programs like this do exactly?

  1. I went through API and they didnt help with transfering credits that was my responsibility but the study abroad office at my school was really helpful they gave me all the paper work that i needed and told me what i needed to do.  However API did help me get all the information about the classes i could take so that i was able to give descriptions to my home university so that my credits would transfer.  You also have to be aware that the credits may not equal the same for instance what was three credits where i was abroad because of how much time we were in class only equaled 2.5 credits at my home universtiy.

  2. If you read the information on the website you posted carefully, it says that it is your responsibility to be sure your credits transfer.  Which school is it, and why are you so adamant about which school it is that you want to attend?

The exchange program I wen through took care of everything, because it was administered by the same University.  That makes everything so easy!  I would definitely try to work everything out in advance.  Finishing a year, and then finding out that only half your credits are going to be accepted by your home University would be a super drag!  Write to both organizations, and make sure that you are liaisoning (I know that's not a real word) everything so that your study goes smoothly.  With all the coordinating, and the possible problems that can arise, you want to make sure everything is set out in advance.
