Question about studying conjoint programs in University?

I am thinking of studying a conjoint program in University next year [BE(Hons)/BA] because I intend to major in the Arts in Media and Film production, as well as to study engineering, but I'm not sure about this. I understand that when you're studying conjoint programs, you don't do the full courses for each of the degrees. Does this mean that each is not fully recognized as a standalone degree should you, say, decide to apply for an engineering job that has nothing to do with the arts or the other way around, could you fail to get the job because you didn't do the full courses for each? Any information about studying conjoint programs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When I talked to my adviser at school about getting a dual degree, she told me the same thing. She also told me that one degree would probably be full course load and the other would be more than a minor but not a full course load for the degree. So it depends on the job, but she said it could hinder my chances of getting the job. She recommended that I consider what I wanted to do most and go that route, and she told me that I could get that degree and then come back and get the other if i so wished. I don't know  a lot about it, just what i was told, so sorry i can't be more help.
