Does anybody know approximately how much gravel and sand would cost for a 24' round above ground swimming pool. Or how much is needed? Thanks!

  1. It's been a long time (15 years) so my memory could be off, but we used to install pools.  Seems around 5-6 cubic yards of sand should do the trick.  We did one pool on a slab that was already there.  It needs to be pretty thick, and it seems we had to treat it to keep it from tearing the liner (paint?).  Definately not cheaper.

A call to any local pool store (where you bought the pool) should help.  Here's a link to some Doughboy pool dealers.  Just ask them how much you should expect to have to purchase for your install...
