Question about the Army Uniform??

Is the Army getting rid of the green service uniform for another type? And if they are when will it happen???

Still not a hundi percent positive but the class A's have been rumored to be getting replaced by the dress blues no official word though

Yes the Army is switching to dress blues and getting away from the dress greens . No they are not issuing the Dress bles out yet that will not start till 2009,2010 te wear out date for the Dress greens is 2011

They are looking at replacing it with a Blue uniform, no decision yet!

The US Army is doing away with the Army Green dress uniform. They are going to the Army Dress Blue uniform. This change is already in place and they no longer issue the old green ones. I believe the official date is October 2008 for the change. If you have Army Green uniforms you can contact a local Army JROTC or ROTC program and donate them.

Yes, they're getting replace. But it hasn't been finally done yet. Usually when a uniform get decommission, it will take like years for it to happen. Even thought the ACUs has been the new Army utilities, we sometimes still see some detail here in California wearing the BDUs.

I look it up and it said in wikipedia by 2011. So by 2011, we shouldn't see any being worn.

Pick up a copy of this months Army times, it goes into great detail on when the green uniforms are completely gone and everything else related to this change. It is a done deal, no more greens but i am not sure about the date.

Its a done deal. the US Army Greens are as good as history.

I got the e-mail yesterday that the green Class A and Class B's are history and that they are now issuing the Army Service Uniform "Dress Blues"
