Question about the Cyber-shot® Digital Camera DSC-H50/cameras in general?

i want to get a new camera... "Cyber-shot® Digital Camera DSC-H50" and if i want to take pictures on this camera (the canon listed above) and set them as my desktop background will they come out blury like other digital cameras? it has 9.1 MP and a 15X optical zoom. so does the amount of MP effect the clearness of the image after it is taken and set as my desktop background?

Hi, I have just recently bought the Sony DSC-H50 and its awesome. It takes clear pictures and even if u zoom in rite to the 15X. It would be a good choice, well i think anyways. Sure its big! but u can get use to that....

HI Efron....  sorry that no one as tried to answer your question so far...   but I would like to try  :).     First of all,  Sony is a    good brand of digital camera...   I can attest to it as our family has 9 of the Sonies right now...   Any trouble so far?  The answer is NO.  I have not looked at the DSC H50 but if they stand true to the Sony reputation,  I would bet they are good.   The optics on the Sony cameras we use are wonderful..  crisp,  clear,  in focus,  vibrant color,  user friendly....  never been in the repair shop (knock on wood, as accidents do happen)... they are reliable.  About what you are asking..  15X zoom is amazing.   9.1 MP is perfect for any shooting situation along with the clarity of the images it will produce for printing and enlarging.   FYI...  MP's are of importance for what you get from your image when printing and enlarging...  not for when you just look at them on your computer, send them to friends,  or upload them to My Space etc.   To find out all of the "Specifics" on the DSC-H50...  go over to the DPReview.com digital camera review site.   There they hire professional photographers to field test all of the new, incoming models.  They really take them through their paces and then report their findings so that we, the consumer can make intelligent choices about the cameras we are thinking about purchasing.   No one HERE is that kind of expert.  Check them out and see if the DSC-H50 would be the best camera for you.  Happy shopping...  and thanks for reading my answer... hope I could be of help.  :))
