My D: drive is most likely for recovering after a crash.

It has PC doctor and stuff.

I was wondering, if I have my recovery discs and etc, could I wipe it off?

What program could I use to wipe it?

  1. could you wipe it off?  yes.

just go to my computer right click on it and go to format ntfs format

      that easy

  2. Hold on!!!!!!!!!!!!........if you don't really need the space I would leave it as it is. You never know what might happen to the disc's you have!!!!!!!!....but if you are sure, formatting it is fine....just as others have said.

  3. If you truly have the manufacturer's recovery CDs, then yes you can format your D: drive so it's clean.

Open MyComputer--> right-click the D: drive--> select Format --> follow the default settings (choose NTFS, if there's an option) and you're good.
