How many miles to a gallon does it get? I don't think it says anywhere.

AND is the 2008 model a two seater? http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/detail.aspx?id=263&content=introduction

  1. yes

  2. all the ninja 250's are 2 seaters. ive got an 06 ninja 250. yea prob around 60 mpg. i got mine on craigs list for 2500 bucks. i was in a kawasaki dealership not to long ago and the guys working there are already ordering the 2009 modle. so  maybe wen that one comes out there will be less hipe about the 08 adn it'll be easier to find. im just using the ninja for a starter bike, then movin up to a 600. if you plan on doing the same then i suggest just getting a used 250 on craigslist or ebay. so what if it has a few niks in it, ur only gunna have it for like season anyways. but if you just want to stick with a 250, then i would spend the cash and get a 2008 because it just looks so much better then any other years. either way you'll be happy with a 2007. i love my 06 and i'll be sad to say goodbye next season.

  3. Yes.. The '08 model is 2 seater.. But the picture shows it has a cover instead of the rear one..

Ask at your local Kawasaki dealer, they should have a few that they didn't sell..

MPG depends on how you ride, and the manufacturers figures never stack up in real life.

I ride an XJR1300, before I had an SV650.. My XJR has an engine twice the size of the SV, but I get better MPG out of it, go figure.. I got about 40mpg on the SV and 45 on the XJR.. Because I rode the SV to a lot higher revs regularly.. I've got shed loads more power than the SV, so I don't need to rev so hard in normal riding..

Your Ninja will prolly do about 55 MPG if you ride hard, and 70mpg if you tickle it (in which case, buy a bicycle!!), even though the figures for the '07 and '08 models weren't much different, quoted at 61mpg. The engine is basically the same.. Same cylinder bore and stroke, it's just the compression ratio that's dropped slightly in 08, which will give you a tiny bit better fuel economy at low speed, say 2 mpg, but the torque is higher on the '07 model, meaning you won't push the bike so hard in normal riding, which will more than compensate.

In all, I would say the '07 model is better.
